An indoor unit (100) includes a casing (1) having a suction port (2) formed on an upper portion and a blow-out port (3) on a lower side of a front surface portion, an axial-flow or mixed-flow fan (20) provided on the downstream side of the suction port (2) in the casing (1), and a heat exchanger (50) provided in the casing (1) at a position on the downstream side of the fan (20) and on the upstream side of the blow-out port (3). The heat exchanger (50) includes a plurality of fins (56) arranged side by side with predetermined gaps therebetween and a plurality of heat-transfer tubes (57) penetrating through the plurality of fins (56). The heat exchanger is configured in such a manner that the air-flow resistance of an area facing the outer peripheral side of the fan (20) is larger than the air-flow resistance of an area facing a center portion of the fan (20).

Indoor unit of air-conditioning apparatus and air-conditioning apparatus

An air-conditioning device (100) provided with the following: an outdoor unit (1) containing a compressor (10), a first refrigerant-path switching device (11), and a heat-source-side heat exchanger (12); a heat-medium exchanger (3) containing an inter-heat-medium heat exchanger (15), a flow-restriction device (16), a second refrigerant-path switching device (18), and a pump (21); and at least one indoor unit (2) containing a usage-side heat exchanger (26). The compressor (10), the first refrigerant-path switching device (11), the flow-restriction device (16), the second refrigerant-path switching device (18), and the inter-heat-medium heat exchanger (15) are connected by refrigerant piping, forming a refrigeration-cycle circuit. The inter-heat-medium heat exchanger (15) and the usage-side heat exchanger (26) are connected by heat-medium piping, forming a heat-medium circulation circuit through which a heat medium other than the refrigerant circulates. By switching the first refrigerant-path switching device (11), this air-conditioning device enters a defrost mode wherein the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (10) is supplied to the heat-source-side heat exchanger (12). In said defrost mode, some of the refrigerant flowing from the heat-source-side heat exchanger (12) is supplied to the inter-heat-medium heat exchanger (15) without going through the flow-restriction device (16), and the rest is returned to the outdoor unit (1) without going through either the flow-restriction device (16) or the inter-heat-medium heat exchanger (15).

Air conditioning device

An air conditioning system that includes desiccant compartments for holding a desiccant; a heat exchanger, a blower and a vessel. The heat exchanger can be filled with a heat transfer medium, while the blower blows ambient air by the heat exchanger such that the blown air is cooled and the heat exchanger is warmed such that thermal energy increases and is transferred from the air to the heat transfer medium causing the heat transfer medium to turn into vapor. The vapor is then diffused to one of the desiccant compartments such that the vapor is adsorbed onto the desiccant creating a mixture. Then an energy source is applied to the mixture such that the vapor and desiccant are separated. The separated vapor is transported to the vessel where it is condensed and then sent back to the heat exchanger, such that the system is able to be continuously operating.

Air-conditioning system

A plate fin heat exchanger has a group of fins arranged at predetermined intervals so that an air current flows between the respective fins and a group of tubes respectively inserted into and joined to the cylindrical fin collars which are formed in the fin group with a predetermined longitudinal pitch and lateral pitch. Elliptical seats each having a longitudinally extending short axis are respectively provided around the fin collars on the surface of each of the fins, and seat-side ridge portions are respectively formed along the outer peripheries of the seats. A plurality of fin-side ridge portions, each having a longitudinally linearly extending ridge and substantially the same height as that of each of the seat-side ridge portions, are formed in each line of the fin collars outside the seat-side ridge portions on each of the fins. The turbulence promoting effect of the fin-side ridge portions, each having a longitudinally linearly extending ridge, improves the heat transfer efficiency. In addition, the highest portions of the seat-side ridge portions formed between the fin-side ridge portions cause the air current to be controlled by the wake in the tubes so as to decrease the stagnation region, thereby increasing the heat transfer effective area and improving the heat transfer efficiency.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability while incorporating the comfortableness and economy by providing a thermistor for detecting outdoor and indoor air temperatures and a driving motor for operating or stopping entire heat exchanging rotors. SOLUTION: An entire heat exchange rotors 1 is rotated by driving it by a rotor driving motor 2 according to the command from a control case 5. A compressor 13 for constituting a refrigerating cycle together with a direct expansion coil 12 is also operated or stopped according to a command from the case 5. The case 5 can recognizes the outdoor and indoor air temperatures by outdoor and indoor temperature thermistors 3, 4. Since the air temperature introduced to the coil 12 is decided by the indoor circulating temperature, outdoor suction temperature and the temperature exchange efficiency of the rotor 1, and hence it can be calculated by the case 5. Accordingly, it can judge from the outdoor and indoor air temperatures whether the heating or cooling of the coil 12 by the operation of the compressor 13 is needed or not or whether the heat recovery of the rotor 1 is needed or not to obtain the comfortable indoor diffusing air temperature.
