Stoichiometric vanadium oxides studied by XPS

TL;DR: In this paper, a method to obtain representative surface chemical compositions of standards by special heat-treatment is proposed, such approach was developed using preparation chamber (furnace) attached to the XPS instrument for 4-24 hours; the annealing parameters were selected based on thermodynamic equilibrium data for vanadium oxides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective band gap manipulation of graphene oxide by its reduction with mild reagents

TL;DR: In this paper, the reduction of graphene oxide (GO) at room temperature, using environmental friendly reagents like glucose, fructose and ascorbic acid for the modulation of a band gap was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface composition of the steel powders pre-alloyed with manganese

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of manganese content from 0.3 to 1.8 wt.% on the surface products composition in the case of water atomized steel powder was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of temperature on the atmospheric corrosion of the Mg-Al alloy AM50

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of temperature on the NaCl-induced atmospheric corrosion of the Mg-Al alloy AM50 has been investigated in the laboratory and the results showed that the atmospheric corrosion is strongly reduced with decreasing temperature, while 99.97% Mg does not exhibit such a trend.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Coolant Flow Rate on Tool Life and Wear Development in Cryogenic and Wet Milling of Ti-6Al-4V

TL;DR: In this article, liquid carbon dioxide is used as coolant in face milling of Ti-6Al-4 V with PVD coated inserts, and the influence of coolant flow rate on tool life is studied by means of controlled experiments.
