Journal ArticleDOI
On the structure of molecular clouds
TL;DR: In this article, the inter-cloud Larson scaling relation between mean volume density and size ρ ∈ R −1, which in turn implies that mass M ∝ R 2, or that the column density N is constant, is an artefact of the observational methods used.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Age of Gl879 and Fomalhaut
TL;DR: In this article, the authors estimate the age of one of the prototypes of the Beta Pic-like stars, Fomalhaut, based on the properties of its common proper motion companion Gl879.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Spatial Distribution of Fluorescent H2 Emission near T Tauri
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show spatially resolved structure in the 2in. x 2in area around the star T Tau N. The structures are apparent in multiline emission of fluorescent H2 pumped by Ly(alpha).
Journal ArticleDOI
Keck interferometer observations of FU Orionis objects

Ligon,Bertrand Mennesson,Chris Neyman,Anneila I. Sargent,M. Shao,Mark R. Swain,Robert R. Thompson,Stephen C. Unwin,G. van Belle,Gautam Vasisht,Peter Wizinowich +33 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented new K-band long-baseline interferometer observations of three young stellar objects of the FU Orionis class, namely, V1057 Cyg, V1515 Cyg and Z CMa-SE, obtained at the Keck Interferometer during its commissioning science period.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-ray Diagnostics of Grain Depletion in Matter Accreting onto T Tauri Stars
TL;DR: In this article, the authors apply the Ne/O diagnostic to the classical T Tauri stars BP Tau and TW Hya, the two stars found to date whose X-ray emission appears to originate, at least in part, from accretion activity.
