Rotational and radial velocities of T Tauri stars
TL;DR: The rotational and radial velocities of 50 T T Tauri stars in the Taurus-Auriga and Orion complexes were investigated in this paper, and it was shown that most T T-Tauri stars rotate at rates an order of magnitude or more below breakup velocity.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the spatial distribution of pre-main-sequence stars in Taurus
TL;DR: In this paper, a power-law form for the two-point angular correlation function (with index −1.2) reproduces the overall shape of the actual pre-main-sequence distribution in Taurus at small angular scales (∼0.3°).
Journal ArticleDOI
The Gould's Belt Distances Survey (GOBELINS) II. Distances and Structure toward the Orion Molecular Clouds
Marina Kounkel,Lee Hartmann,Laurent Loinard,Laurent Loinard,Gisela N. Ortiz-León,Amy J. Mioduszewski,Luis F. Rodríguez,Luis F. Rodríguez,S. A. Dzib,Rosa M. Torres,Gerardo Pech,Phillip A. B. Galli,Phillip A. B. Galli,Phillip A. B. Galli,Juana L. Rivera,Andrew F. Boden,Neal J. Evans,Cesar Briceno,John J. Tobin,John J. Tobin +19 more
TL;DR: The results of the Gould's Belt Distances Survey of young star-forming regions toward the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex were presented in this paper, where 36 young stellar objects (YSOs) were detected with the Very Large Baseline Array, 27 of which have been observed in at least three epochs over the course of two years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Disk evolution in Cep OB2: Results from the Spitzer space telescope
Aurora Sicilia-Aguilar,Lee Hartmann,Nuria Calvet,S. T. Megeath,James Muzerolle,Lori Allen,Paola D'Alessio,Bruno Merín,John R. Stauffer,Erick T. Young,Charles J. Lada +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the results of an infrared imaging survey of Tr 37 and NGC 7160 using the IRAC and MIPS instruments on board the Spitzer Space Telescope.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Spitzer view of protoplanetary disks in the γ velorum cluster
Jesús Hernández,Jesús Hernández,Lee Hartmann,Nuria Calvet,R. D. Jeffries,Robert A. Gutermuth,James Muzerolle,John R. Stauffer +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented new Spitzer Space Telescope observations of stars in the young (~5 Myr)γ Velorum stellar cluster and selected 579 stars as candidate members of the cluster.
