The Inner Envelope and Disk of L1527 Revealed: Gemini L'-band Scattered Light Imaging
TL;DR: In this article, the inner scattered light structure of L1527 IRS (IRAS 04368+2557) was resolved in the Gemini image into a compact bipolar structure with a narrow dark lane in the center, which is consistent with the initial modeling of a bright inner cavity separated by a dark lane due to extinction along the line of sight of the central protostar by the disk.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic binaries in the orion nebula cluster and ngc 2264
TL;DR: This paper examined the spectroscopic binary population for two massive nearby regions of clustered star formation, the Orion Nebula Cluster (ONC) and NGC 2264, supplementing the data presented by Tobin et al. with more recent observations and more extensive analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-destructing spiral waves: global simulations of a spiral-wave instability in accretion disks
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE), which was supported by National Science Foundation grant number ACI-1053575, to provide HPC resources that have contributed to the research results reported within this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
CSI 2264: Simultaneous optical and infrared light curves of young disk-bearing stars in NGC 2264 with CoRoT and Spitzer-- evidence for multiple origins of variability
Ann Marie Cody,John R. Stauffer,Annie Baglin,Giuseppina Micela,Luisa Rebull,Ettore Flaccomio,Maria Morales-Calderon,Suzanne Aigrain,Jerome Bouvier,Lynne A. Hillenbrand,Robert A. Hora,David Barrado,Jon Holtzman,Franck Marchis,Kenneth Wood,M. M. Guimarães,Jorge Lillo Box,Edward Gillen,Amy McQuillan,Catherine Espaillat,Lori Allen,Paola D'Alessio,Fabio Favata +45 more
TL;DR: The Coordinated Synoptic Investigation of NGC 2264 (CSI 2264) as mentioned in this paper was a 30-day multi-wavelength photometric monitoring campaign on more than 1000 young star members using 16 telescopes.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Rapid Outbursting Star GM Cep: An EX-or in Tr 37?
Aurora Sicilia-Aguilar,Bruno Merín,Felix Hormuth,Péter Ábrahám,Thomas Henning,Mária Kun,Nimesh A. Patel,Attila Juhasz,Wolfgang Brandner,Lee Hartmann,Szilard Csizmadia,Attila Moór +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present optical, IR and millimeter observations of the solar-type star 13-277, also known as GM Cep, in the 4 Myr-old cluster Tr 37.
