Journal ArticleDOI
Structural and genetic studies of the O-antigen of Escherichia coli O163
Andrei V. Perepelov,Quan Wang,Sof'ya N. Senchenkova,Ye Qian,Alexander S. Shashkov,Lei Wang,Yuriy A. Knirel +6 more
TL;DR: An acidic O-polysaccharide (O-antigen) of Escherichia coli O163 was obtained by mild acid hydrolysis of the lipopolySaccharide and studied by sugar analysis and Smith degradation along with 1D and 2D (1)H and (13)C NMR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structures and gene clusters of the closely related O-antigens of Escherichia coli O46 and O134, both containing d-glucuronoyl-d-allothreonine
Andrei V. Perepelov,Quan Wang,Andrei V. Filatov,Xianghong Xia,Alexander S. Shashkov,Andrej Weintraub,Göran Widmalm,Lei Wang,Yuriy A. Knirel +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the O-polysaccharides (O-antigens) were isolated by mild acid degradation of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of Escherichia coli O46 and O134.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcriptomic analysis reveals that the small protein MgtS contributes to the virulence of uropathogenic Escherichia coli.
TL;DR: In this article, the gene expression profiles of Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) after invading BECs were comprehensively analyzed using RNA sequencing to reveal potential virulence-related genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure and gene cluster of the O-antigen of Escherichia coli O30.
Andrei V. Perepelov,Xiyan Hao,Sof'ya N. Senchenkova,Alexander S. Shashkov,Bin Liu,Lei Wang,Yuriy A. Knirel +6 more
TL;DR: The O-antigen gene cluster of E. coli O30 was sequenced and the gene functions were tentatively assigned by comparison with sequences in the available databases and found to be in full agreement with the O-polysaccharide structure.
