Journal ArticleDOI

Proteomics applied on plant abiotic stresses: Role of heat shock proteins (HSP)☆

TL;DR: A relationship between ROS and HSP also seems to exist, corroborating the hypothesis that during the course of evolution, plants were able to achieve a high degree of control over ROS toxicity and are now using ROS as signalling molecules to induce HSPs.
Journal ArticleDOI

An update on red blood cell storage lesions, as gleaned through biochemistry and omics technologies.

TL;DR: From the present review, it emerges that biochemical, morphologic, and omics profiles of stored RBCs have observable changes after approximately 14 days of storage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proteomic analysis of S-nitrosylated proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana undergoing hypersensitive response

TL;DR: By using a proteomic approach involving 2‐DE and MS, changes in S‐nitrosylated proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana undergoing HR are characterized, for the first time, and the 16 proteins identified are mostly enzymes serving intermediary metabolism, signaling and antioxidant defense.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time-course investigation of SAGM-stored leukocyte-filtered red bood cell concentrates: from metabolism to proteomics.

TL;DR: Biochemical and structural parameters did not show significant alterations in the first 2 weeks of storage, but then declined constantly from day 14 onwards, and several parallelisms between red blood cells stored for a long time and thered blood cells of patients with hereditary spherocytosis were highlighted.
