Enhanced adsorptive removal of anionic and cationic dyes from single or mixed dye solutions using MOF PCN-222
Haichao Li,Xin-Yu Cao,Chuang Zhang,Qing Yu,Zijian Zhao,Xuedun Niu,Xiaodong Sun,Yunling Liu,Li Ma,Li Ma,Zhengqiang Li +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that zirconium-metalloporphyrin mesoMOF (PCN-222/MOF-545) exhibits excellent adsorption/removal capacities for numerous anionic and cationic dyes individually and together in solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced Biological Photosynthetic Efficiency Using Light-Harvesting Engineering with Dual-Emissive Carbon Dots
Wei Li,Shuangshuang Wu,Haoran Zhang,Xuejie Zhang,Jianle Zhuang,Chaofan Hu,Yingliang Liu,Bingfu Lei,Li Ma,Xiaojun Wang +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, dual-emissive carbon dots (CDs) were used to enhance the photoabsorption of chloroplasts and intact leaves for enhanced photosynthetic properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hemorrhagic shock-induced bacterial translocation: the role of neutrophils and hydroxyl radicals.
TL;DR: Shock-induced BT and intestinal injury appear to be mediated by oxidants derived from xanthine oxidase, rather than granulocytes, and DMSO and deferoxamine appear to prevent shock- induced BT by blunting the magnitude of shock-induced mucosal injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dual-Functional Antifogging/Antimicrobial Polymer Coating.
TL;DR: The excellent antifogging behavior of the smooth coating was mainly attributed to the hydrophilic/hydrophobic balance of the partially quaternized copolymer, while the covalently bonded, hydrophobic quaternary ammonium compound rendered the coating strongly antimicrobial, as demonstrated by the total kill against both Gram-positive Staphylococcus epidermidis and Gram-negative Escherichia coli.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protein malnutrition predisposes to inflammatory-induced gut-origin septic states.
TL;DR: PM predisposes to mucosal damage and the development of potentially lethal gut origin septic state during periods of systemic inflammation.
