Pyrite framboids in the Permian–Triassic boundary section at Meishan, China: Evidence for dysoxic deposition
TL;DR: Pyrite framboid evidence from the Permian-Triassic global stratotype at Meishan, China as mentioned in this paper indicates the late permian mass extinction is closely associated with a dramatic decline of benthic oxygen levels.
Journal ArticleDOI
NanoSIMS analysis of organic carbon from the Tissint Martian meteorite: Evidence for the past existence of subsurface organic-bearing fluids on Mars
Yangting Lin,Ahmed El Goresy,Sen Hu,Jianchao Zhang,Philippe Gillet,Y. Xu,Jialong Hao,Masaaki Miyahara,Ziyuan Ouyang,Eiji Ohtani,Lin Xu,Wei Yang,L. Feng,Xuchao Zhao,Jing Yang,Shin Ozawa +15 more
TL;DR: Two petrographic settings of carbonaceous components, mainly filling open fractures and occasionally enclosed in shock-melt veins, were found in the recently fallen Tissint Martian meteorite as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Platinum-group elements of the Meishan Permian–Triassic boundary section: Evidence for flood basaltic volcanism
TL;DR: This paper analyzed Ir, Ru, Rh, Pt and Pd in a set of samples from the global stratotype section and point (GSSP) of the Permian-Triassic boundary at Meishan, China, using isotope dilution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ID-ICP-MS) and nickel sulfide fire assay (NiS-FA) combined with Te coprecipitation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bulk chemical composition of lherzolitic shergottite Grove Mountains 99027-Constraints on the mantle of Mars
TL;DR: This paper reported the concentration of 50 elements including rare earth elements (REEs) and platinum group elements (PGEs) in bulk samples of the Grove Mountains (GRV) 99027 lherzolitic shergottite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Grove Mountains 020090 enriched lherzolitic shergottite: A two‐stage formation model
TL;DR: Grove Mountains (GRV) 020090 is an enriched lherzolitic shergottite, distinct from other lherzinolitics, except RBT 04262/1 as discussed by the authors.
