Journal ArticleDOI
Etoposide and cisplatin versus paclitaxel and carboplatin with concurrent thoracic radiotherapy in unresectable stage III non-small cell lung cancer: a multicenter randomized phase III trial
Jun Liang,Nan Bi,S. Wu,Ming Chen,C. Lv,L. Zhao,A. Shi,Wei Jiang,Yaomin Xu,Zongmei Zhou,Wei Wang,Dongfu Chen,Zhouguang Hui,J. Lv,Hongxing Zhang,Qinfu Feng,Zefen Xiao,Xin Wang,Lipin Liu,Tao Zhang,Liping Du,Wei Chen,Yu Shyr,Weibo Yin,Jian Li,Jie He,Luhua Wang +26 more
TL;DR: EP might be superior to weekly PC in terms of OS in the setting of concurrent chemoradiation for unresectable stage III NSCLC.
Journal ArticleDOI
MicroRNA-29c functions as a tumor suppressor by targeting VEGFA in lung adenocarcinoma.
Lipin Liu,Nan Bi,Lihong Wu,Xiao Ding,Yu Men,Wei Zhou,Lin Li,Weimin Zhang,Susheng Shi,Yongmei Song,Luhua Wang +10 more
TL;DR: MiR-29c acts as a tumor suppressor by targeting VEGFA and may represent a promising prognostic biomarker as well as a potential therapeutic target for LAD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk Factors for Brain Metastases in Locally Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer With Definitive Chest Radiation
Zhe Ji,Nan Bi,Jingbo Wang,Zhouguang Hui,Zefen Xiao,Qinfu Feng,Zongmei Zhou,Dongfu Chen,Jima Lv,Jun Liang,Chengcheng Fan,Lipin Liu,Luhua Wang +12 more
TL;DR: Age ≤60 years, non-squamous cell carcinoma, serum NSE >18 ng/mL, and CA125 ≥ 35 U/mL were independent risk factors for brain metastasis and the possibilities of selectively using prophylactic cranial irradiation in higher-risk patients with LA-NSCLC should be further explored in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy May Improve Local-Regional Tumor Control for Locally Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Compared With Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy
Jingbo Wang,Zongmei Zhou,Jun Liang,Qinfu Feng,Zefen Xiao,Zhouguang Hui,Xiaozhen Wang,Jima Lv,Dongfu Chen,Hongxing Zhang,Zhe Ji,Jianzhong Cao,Lipin Liu,Wei Jiang,Yu Men,Cai Xu,Jiangrong Dai,Weibo Yin,Luhua Wang +18 more
TL;DR: IMRT should be considered a surrogate for 3DCRT in locally advanced NSCLC and might be the preferred option for a female nonsmoker with adenocarcinoma and a potentially high risk of pulmonary toxicity from radiotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Increased CYFRA 21-1, CEA and NSE are Prognostic of Poor Outcome for Locally Advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Lung: A Nomogram and Recursive Partitioning Risk Stratification Analysis.
Jingbo Wang,Wei Jiang,Tao Zhang,Lipin Liu,Nan Bi,Xiaozhen Wang,Zhouguang Hui,Jun Liang,Jima Lv,Zongmei Zhou,Zefen Xiao,Qinfu Feng,Dongfu Chen,Weibo Yin,Luhua Wang +14 more
TL;DR: Baseline tumor marker panel including CYFRA 21-1, CEA and NSE can be prognostic of outcome for LA-SCCL receiving definitive radiotherapy and the RPA identified four prognostic subgroups, which could assist personalized therapy and clinical trial design in LA- SCCL.
