Regional ozone pollution and observation-based approach for analyzing ozone–precursor relationship during the PRIDE-PRD2004 campaign
Yuanhang Zhang,Hang Su,Liuju Zhong,Yafang Cheng,Liwu Zeng,Xuesong Wang,Y.R. Xiang,Jia Lin Wang,D.F. Gao,Min Shao,Shaojia Fan,Shaw Chen Liu +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, an intensive field campaign, Program of Regional Integrated Experiments of Air Quality over Pear River Delta (PRIDE-PRD2004), was carried out in the Pearl River Delta in October 2004 to provide an in-depth understanding and a comprehensive record of O3, PM2.5 and other air pollutants in this quickly developing region of China.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation and modelling of OH and HO 2 concentrations in the Pearl River Delta 2006: a missing OH source in a VOC rich atmosphere
Keding Lu,Keding Lu,Franz Rohrer,Frank Holland,Hendrik Fuchs,Birger Bohn,Theo Brauers,Chih-Chung Chang,Rolf Häseler,Min Hu,Kazuyuki Kita,Yoshiko Kondo,X. Li,X. Li,S. Lou,S. Lou,Sascha Nehr,Min Shao,Liwu Zeng,Andreas Wahner,Y. H. Zhang,Andreas Hofzumahaus +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the observed OH exhibited a weak dependence on NOx in contrast to model predictions, reaching a factor of 8 at 0.02 ppb NO, while modelled and measured OH agree well at NO mixing ratios above 1 ppb.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aerosol radiative, physical, and chemical properties in Beijing during June 1999
Michael H. Bergin,Glen R. Cass,Jin Xu,C. Fang,Liwu Zeng,T. Yu,Lynn G. Salmon,C. S. Kiang,X. Y. Tang,Yuanhang Zhang,William L. Chameides +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the aerosol light scattering coefficient σ_(sp) and absorption coefficient (ap) under dry conditions (instrumental relative humidity 1.0 μm), and found that the submicron aerosol was responsible for ∼80% of the light scattering at 530 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atmospheric OH reactivities in the Pearl River Delta – China in summer 2006: measurement and model results
S. Lou,S. Lou,Frank Holland,Franz Rohrer,Keding Lu,Keding Lu,Birger Bohn,Theo Brauers,Chih-Chung Chang,Hendrik Fuchs,Rolf Häseler,Kazuyuki Kita,Yoshiko Kondo,Xin Li,Xin Li,Min Shao,Liwu Zeng,Andreas Wahner,Yuanhang Zhang,Wenxing Wang,Andreas Hofzumahaus +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used laser flash photolysis (LP) for artificial OH generation and laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) to measure the time-dependent OH decay in samples of ambient air.
Journal ArticleDOI
VOC emissions, evolutions and contributions to SOA formation at a receptor site in eastern China
Bin Yuan,Bin Yuan,Weiwei Hu,Weiwei Hu,Min Shao,Min Wang,Wentai Chen,Sihua Lu,Liwu Zeng,Min Hu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a photochemical-age-based parameterization method was used to calculate VOC emission ratios and to quantify the evolution of ambient VOCs, and the calculated emission ratios of most hydrocarbons agree well with those obtained from emission inventory data.
