TL;DR: In this paper, a purpose-built indicator of the permissiveness of inheritance law and data for 10,004 firms from 38 countries in 1990-2006 was used to find that stricter inheritance law is associated with lower investment in family firms, but does not affect investment in non-family firms.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors argue that bank governance influences how regulations alter bank's incentives and that bank regulation should condition on bank governance, and that banks with more powerful owners tend to take more risks, and greater capital requirements actually increase risk taking in banks with powerful shareholders.
