José M. Ceriani Cernadas,Guillermo Carroli,Lilliana Pellegrini,Lucas Otaño,Marina Ferreira,Carolina Ricci,Ofella Casas,Daniel Giordano,Jaime Lardizabal +8 more
TL;DR: Delayed cord clamping at birth increases neonatal mean venous hematocrit within a physiologic range and seems to reduce the rate of neonatal anemia, and should be implemented to increase neonatal iron storage at birth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association between first trimester absence of fetal nasal bone on ultrasound and Down syndrome
TL;DR: To evaluate the association between absence of nasal bone on ultrasound and Down syndrome in fetuses at 11–14 weeks of pregnancy, a large number of patients with Down syndrome were diagnosed with the disease during pregnancy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Congenital dacryocystocele: prenatal 2- and 3-dimensional sonographic findings.
TL;DR: The purpose of this series is to present the experience with cases of dacryocystocele diagnosed prenatally, and the role of prenatal 3‐dimensional sonography, as an adjunct to 2‐dimensionalSonography, in the prenatal assessment of these cases is emphasized.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prenatal diagnosis of skeletal dysplasias: contribution of three-dimensional computed tomography.
Marina Ulla,Horacio Aiello,María Paz Cobos,Iêda M. Orioli,Ricardo García-Mónaco,A. Etchegaray,María Laura Igarzábal,Lucas Otaño +7 more
TL;DR: 3D-CT may have a complementary role to US where fetal SD is suspected, but no specific diagnosis can be made using US alone, and further studies on clinical performance and risk-benefit analysis are needed.
