Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation, characterization and cytotoxicity of schizophyllan/silver nanoparticle composite.

TL;DR: Silver nanoparticles have been successfully prepared with a simple and "green" chemical reduction method and triple helical schizophyllan (SPG) was used for the first time as reducing and stabilizing agents, leading to good dispersion of Ag-NPs with a diameter of 6 nm within the biopolymer matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of halloysite nanotube structure on physical, chemical, structural and biological properties of elastic polycaprolactone/gelatin nanofibers for wound healing applications

TL;DR: All HNT modified nanofibers have been confirmed as non-cytotoxic based on the interaction with mouse fibroblasts NIH-3T3 cells and therefore suitable for biomedical applications, e.g. as wound healing coverings with controlled drug delivery.
