Nocturnal Systolic Hypertension and Adverse Prognosis in Patients with CKD.
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the individual association of entities of nocturnal hypertension according to achievement of systolic and/or diastolic BP goals with kidney failure and cardiovascular outcomes of chronic kidney disease.
Posted ContentDOI
UMOD Polymorphisms Associated with Kidney Function, Serum Uromodulin and Risk of Mortality among Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, Results from the C-STRIDE Study
TL;DR: Variation of rs11864909 in the UMOD gene was associated with levels of eGFR and serum uromodulin, while those of rs4293393 and rs6497476 associated with all-cause mortality among patients with CKD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Including Measures of Chronic Kidney Disease to Improve Cardiovascular Risk Prediction by SCORE2 and SCORE2-OP.

TL;DR: The developed and validated an "Add-on" to incorporate CKD measures into these algorithms, using a validated approach, will help clinicians and patients with CKD refine risk prediction and further personalize preventive therapies for CVD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distributed representations of diseases based on co-occurrence relationship
TL;DR: Qualitative and Quantitative experiments show that the proposed Di2Vec can make the embeddings of diseases with high co-occurrence frequency close to each other, and can also outperform Skip-gram and CBOW when use these embedDings as the feature representations for medical expense prediction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of a scoring tool for predicting prolonged length of hospital stay in peritoneal dialysis patients through data mining.
TL;DR: The pLOS scoring tool has a great potential to help physicians allocate medical resources optimally and achieve improved clinical outcomes and can effectively discriminate patients with different pLOS risks and be easily implemented in clinical practice.
