Journal Article
Experimental benchmark and code validation for airfoils equipped with passive vortex generators
Daniel Baldacchino,Marinos Manolesos,C.J. Simao Ferreira,A. González Salcedo,M. Aparicio,T. Chaviaropoulos,Konstantinos Diakakis,Liesbeth Florentie,Miriam García,George Papadakis,Niels N. Sørensen,W.A. Timmer,Niels Troldborg,Spyros G. Voutsinas,A.H. van Zuijlen +14 more
TL;DR: Comparisons of experimental results and complimentary computations for airfoils with vortex generators are compared and indicate that with appropriate calibration, engineering-type tools can capture the effects of vortex generators and outperform more complex tools.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental benchmark and code validation for airfoils equipped with passive vortex generators
Daniel Baldacchino,Marinos Manolesos,Célia Maria Dias Ferreira,A. González Salcedo,M. Aparicio,T. Chaviaropoulos,Konstantinos Diakakis,Liesbeth Florentie,Néstor Ramos García,George Papadakis,Niels N. Sørensen,N. Timmer,Niels Troldborg,Spyros G. Voutsinas,A.H. van Zuijlen +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, experimental results and complimentary computations for airfoils with vortex generators are compared, as part of an effort within the AVATAR project to develop tools for wind turbine blade control devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Results of the AVATAR project for the validation of 2D aerodynamic models with experimental data of the DU95W180 airfoil with unsteady flap
Carlos Simao Ferreira,A. Gonzalez,Daniel Baldacchino,M. Aparicio,Santiago Muñiz Gómez,Xabier Munduate,Néstor Ramos García,Jens Nørkær Sørensen,Eva Jost,S. Knecht,Thorsten Lutz,P. Chassapogiannis,Konstantinos Diakakis,George Papadakis,Spyros G. Voutsinas,John Prospathopoulos,T. Gillebaart,A.H. van Zuijlen +17 more
TL;DR: The FP7 AdVanced Aerodynamic Tools for lArge Rotors - Avatar project aims to develop and validate advanced aerodynamic models, to be used in integral design codes for the next generation of large scale wind turbines (10-20MW) as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of an engineering code for the implementation of aerodynamic control devices in BEM
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented some modifications including the unsteady contributions due to the flap motion and the spanwise (3D) effects in order to simulate flaps in the turbine blades.
Journal ArticleDOI
PKP-033 Analysis of a design to detect triple whammy in patients with digoxin therapy
TL;DR: Routine TDM of digoxin may be a tool to detect potential drug related problems as TW associated and contributed to improved health outcomes and strengthened the regulatory framework in multidisciplinary health teams.
