TL;DR: HCH and DDT residues in fish in India were lower than those in the temperate countries indicating a lower accumulation in tropical fish, which might be related to rapid volatilization of this insecticide in the tropical environment.

TL;DR: Comparative studies with other coastal regions indicate considerable enrichment of DTMs & TTMs in sediments as well as in various organs of fish samples, which indicates that metals are absorbed onto the different organs, which is endorsed by the calculated values of bioaccumulation factor (BAFs) in fishes.

Microplastics in tourist beaches of Huatulco Bay, Pacific coast of southern Mexico

TL;DR: Overall, a high amount of microplastics is present in the Conejos, Tangolunda, Santa Cruz, and San Agustin beaches, mainly derived from tourism-based activities and effluents discharged from the hotels and restaurants located along the beaches.
