TL;DR: In participants with Covid-19, most of whom were unvaccinated, the administration of convalescent plasma within 9 days after the onset of symptoms reduced the risk of disease progression leading to hospitalization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamical model of an earthquake fault with localization.
TL;DR: The one-dimensional dynamical Burridge-Knopoff stick-slip model for an earthquake fault with spatially inhomogeneous friction is considered, which yields a self-organizing, spatially localized sequence of seismic events constrained by the spatial fluctuations.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The logistical considerations and workflow spanning procurement of qualified products, infrastructure, staffing, transfusion, and associated management of adverse events are described, to facilitate the efforts of others intent on establishing outpatient transfusion programs for CCP and other antibody‐based therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Causality constraint for fractures with linear slip weakening
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider the problem of dynamic fracture growth characterized by linear slip-weakening properties and show that the elastic wave radiation from the slip in the weakening zone has non-causal terms.

TL;DR: In this article , the COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP), placebo-controlled trial observed SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels decreasing 22-fold from matched donor units into post-transfusion seronegative recipients.
