CRT Survey II: a European Society of Cardiology survey of cardiac resynchronisation therapy in 11 088 patients—who is doing what to whom and how?
Kenneth Dickstein,Kenneth Dickstein,Camilla Normand,Camilla Normand,Angelo Auricchio,Nigussie Bogale,John G.F. Cleland,Anselm K. Gitt,Christoph Stellbrink,Stefan D. Anker,Stefan D. Anker,Gerasimos Filippatos,Maurizio Gasparini,Gerhard Hindricks,Carina Blomström Lundqvist,Piotr Ponikowski,Frank Ruschitzka,Giovanni Luca Botto,Alan Bulava,Alan Bulava,Gabor Z. Duray,Carsten W. Israel,Christophe Leclercq,Peter Margitfalvi,Óscar Cano,Chris Plummer,Nedim Umutay Sarigul,Maciej Sterliński,Cecilia Linde +28 more
TL;DR: A second prospective survey is designed to describe contemporary clinical practice regarding CRT and large individual, national and regional differences in patient selection, implantation practice and follow-up are identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Subacute cardiac perforations associated with active fixation leads.
Maciej Sterliński,Andrzej Przybylski,Aleksander Maciąg,Paweł Syska,Mariusz Pytkowski,Michał Lewandowski,Ilona Kowalik,Bohdan Firek,Piotr Kołsut,Grzegorz Religa,Mariusz Kuśmierczyk,Franciszek Walczak,Hanna Szwed +12 more
TL;DR: The use of active fixation leads is associated with an increased risk of cardiac perforation, and only four models of leads were associated with perforations, but the risk of their use was not statistically significantly increased, when compared with otheractive fixation leads placed in the adequate position.
Journal ArticleDOI
Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: efficacy and complications of the therapy in long-term follow-up.
Paweł Syska,Andrzej Przybylski,Lidia Chojnowska,Michał Lewandowski,Maciej Sterliński,Aleksander Maciag,Katarzyna Gepner,Mariusz Pytkowski,Ilona Kowalik,Renata Maczyńska-Mazuruk,Witold Rużyłło,Hanna Szwed +11 more
TL;DR: The aim of the study was to assess the incidence of ICD intervention in HCM patients with relation to clinical risk profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sudden death in noncoronary heart disease is associated with delayed paced ventricular activation
Richard C. Saumarez,Lidia Chojnowska,Richard Derksen,Mariusz Pytkowski,Maciej Sterliński,Christopher L.-H. Huang,Nicolas Sadoul,Richard N.W. Hauer,Witold Rużyłło,Andrew A. Grace +9 more
TL;DR: Slowed or delayed myocardial activation is a common feature in patients with noncoronary heart disease with a history of VF, and its assessment may allow the prospective prediction of Vf risk in these patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Paced ventricular electrogram fractionation predicts sudden cardiac death in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Richard C. Saumarez,Mariusz Pytkowski,Maciej Sterliński,John P. Bourke,Jonathan R. Clague,Stuart M. Cobbe,Derek T. Connelly,Michael Griffith,Pascal P. McKeown,Karen McLeod,John M. Morgan,Nicolas Sadoul,Lidia Chojnowska,Christopher L.-H. Huang,Andrew A. Grace +14 more
TL;DR: PEFA identifies HCM patients at risk of SCD with greater accuracy than non-invasive techniques and may have an important role in determining indications for ICD prescription.
