Journal ArticleDOI
Usefulness of Drug-Eluting Balloons for Bare-Metal and Drug-Eluting In-Stent Restenosis (from the RIBS IV and V Randomized Trials)
Fernando Alfonso,María José Pérez-Vizcayno,Bruno García del Blanco,Arturo García-Touchard,José-Ramón López-Mínguez,Manel Sabaté,Javier Zueco,Rafael Melgares,Rosana Hernández,Raúl Moreno,Antonio Domínguez,Juan Sanchis,César Morís,José Moreu,Angel Cequier,Rafael Romaguera,Fernando Rivero,Javier Cuesta,Nieves Gonzalo,Pilar Jiménez-Quevedo,Alberto Cárdenas,Cristina Fernández +21 more
TL;DR: The long-term clinical and angiographic results of DEB are poorer in patients with DES-ISR than in those with bare-metal stent (BMS) ISR, however, the efficacy ofDEB is confirmed for patients with ISR.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictors and implications of residual plaque burden after coronary stenting: an intravascular ultrasound study.
Fernando Alfonso,Pablo Garcia,Gela Pimentel,Rosana Hernández,Manel Sabaté,Javier Escaned,Camino Bañuelos,Cristina Fernández,Carlos Macaya +8 more
TL;DR: The amount of residual plaque burden after coronary stenting plays an independent role on the late angiographic outcome of patients, and lesion plaque area and reference segment plaque burden were identified as independent predictors of residualplate burden after stenting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of Overlapping on 1-Year Clinical Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Everolimus-Eluting Bioresorbable Scaffolds Implantation in Routine Clinical Practice: Insights from the European Multicenter GHOST-EU Registry
Luis Ortega-Paz,Davide Capodanno,Giuseppe Giacchi,Tommaso Gori,Holger Nef,Azeem Latib,Giuseppe Caramanno,Carlo Di Mario,Christoph Naber,Maciej Lesiak,Piera Capranzano,Jens Wiebe,Julinda Mehilli,Aleksander Araszkiewicz,Stelios Pyxaras,Alessio Mattesini,Salvatore Geraci,Toru Naganuma,Antonio Colombo,Thomas Münzel,Manel Sabaté,Corrado Tamburino,Salvatore Brugaletta +22 more
TL;DR: In “Real‐world” clinical practice, overlapping BRS does not appear to have an impact on clinical outcomes as compared to no‐overlapping BRS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Skin dose and dose-area product values in patients undergoing intracoronary brachytherapy.
TL;DR: Intacoronary brachytherapy involved approximately two-fold the DAP used in percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty procedures performed during the same period in the same catheterization laboratories, as a consequence of the need to monitor the radioactive source location used for the treatment of stenoses and the intravascular ultrasound.
Journal ArticleDOI
