Journal ArticleDOI
Sirolimus‐eluting stents versus bare‐metal stents in patients with in‐stent restenosis: Results of a pooled analysis of two randomized studies
Fernando Alfonso,Maria-José Pérez-Vizcayno,Rosana Hernández,Cristina Fernández,Javier Escaned,Camino Bañuelos,Armando Bethencourt,José R. López-Mínguez,Juan Angel,Angel Cequier,Manel Sabaté,César Morís,Javier Zueco,Ricardo Seabra-Gomes +13 more
TL;DR: This work sought to compare results of sirolimus‐eluting stents (SES) with those of bare‐metal stent (BMS) in patients with ISR with the aim of determining the best treatment for in‐stent restenosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary ridge coverage and device-related thrombosis after left atrial appendage occlusion
Xavier Freixa,Pedro L. Cepas-Guillén,Eduardo Flores-Umanzor,Ander Regueiro,Laura Sanchis,Andrea Fernandez-Valledor,Salvatore Brugaletta,Maria José Carretero,Barbara Vidal,Mónica Masotti,Victoria Martin-Yuste,Mercè Roqué,Marta Sitges,Manel Sabaté +13 more
TL;DR: Pulmonary ridge coverage was associated with a lower incidence of device related thrombosis (DRT) after LAAO and in multivariable analysis, the presence of PR coverage emerged as an independent predictor of DRT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiogenic shock at admission in patients with multivessel disease and acute myocardial infarction treated with percutaneous coronary intervention: related factors.
César Conde-Vela,Raúl Moreno,Rosana Hernández,María José Pérez-Vizcayno,Fernando Alfonso,Javier Escaned,Manel Sabaté,Camino Bañuelos,Carlos Macaya +8 more
TL;DR: Among patients with STEMI and multivessel disease, CS is especially frequent in STEMI anterior, female gender, proximal culprit lesion, and chronic occlusion of other vessels.
Journal Article
The effect of 32P beta-radiotherapy on both vessel remodeling and neointimal hyperplasia after coronary balloon angioplasty and stenting: a three-dimensional intravascular ultrasound investigation.
M A Costa,Manel Sabaté,P. Serrano,van der Giessen Wj,Ken Kozuma,I. P. Kay,V.L.M.A. Coen,Jurgen Ligthart,Alexander J Wardeh,Peter C. Levendag,P. W. Serruys +10 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that beta-radiation affects vessel remodeling after percutaneous intervention and inhibit neointimal formation in stented patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Three dimensional intravascular ultrasonic assessment of the local mechanism of restenosis after balloon angioplasty
M A Costa,Ken Kozuma,A L Gaster,W.J. van der Giessen,Manel Sabaté,David P. Foley,I. P. Kay,J. Ligthart,P Thayssen,M. van den Brand,P. J. De Feyter,P. W. Serruys +11 more
TL;DR: The mechanism of lumen renarrowing after balloon angioplasty appears to be determined by unfavourable remodelling, however, different patterns of remodelling may occur in individual injured coronary segments, which highlights the complexity and influence of local factors in the restenotic process.
