278Clinical outcomes of state-of-the-art percutaneous coronary revascularization in patients with three-vessel disease: 3-year follow-up of the SYNTAX II study
Patrick W. Serruys,Simon J Walsh,Manel Sabaté,J.E. Davies,M Lesiak,Raul Moreno,Ignacio Cruz-González,Nick E.J. West,Jan J. Piek,Rod Stables,N. M. Van Mieghem,Farooq,Javier Escaned,Adrian P. Banning,Y Onuma +14 more
TL;DR: Three-year results of the SYNTAX-II study may offer an attractive option of revascularization strategy in predefined patients with de novo 3VD even if the patients have moderate to severe anatomical complexity (anatomic SYnTAX score >22).
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of Sirolimus-Eluting Stent Implantation in Diabetic Patients With Very Small Vessels (≤ 2.25 mm). Insights from the DIABETES Trial
Pilar Jiménez-Quevedo,Manel Sabaté,Dominick J. Angiolillo,Fernando Alfonso,Rosana Hernández-Antolín,Gómez-Hospital Ja,Marcelo Sanmartín,Camino Bañuelos,Raul Moreno,Javier Escaned,Cristina Fernández,Marco A. Costa,Francisco Fernández-Avilés,Carlos Macaya +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Sirolimus-eluting stent implantation in diabetics with very small vessels is safe and effective, even in insulin-dependent patients, and at 9-month follow-up, both late lumen loss and the restenosis rate were significantly lower in the sirolimuss-eliting stent group than in the bare-metal stent groups, at -0.03 (0.3) mm vs 0.44 ( 0.5) mm, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ticagrelor versus clopidogrel for recovery of vascular function immediately after successful chronic coronary total occlusion recanalization: A randomized clinical trial.
Salvatore Brugaletta,Josep Gómez-Lara,Juan Caballero,Luis Ortega-Paz,Luis Teruel,Miriam Jiménez Fernández,Rafael Romaguera,Vicente Alcalde Martinez,Marcos Ñato,Eduardo Molina Navarro,Joan-Antoni Gomez-Hospital,Concepcion Correa Vilches,Maria Joyera,Angel Cequier,Dominick J. Angiolillo,Manel Sabaté +15 more
TL;DR: Coronary vascular function of a chronic coronary total occlusion (CTO) immediately after recanalization is known to be poor and ticagrelor may augment adenosine‐induced coronary blood flow vs. clopidogrel immediately after successful CTO percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Initial Results of Combined MitraClip® Implantation and Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion.
Xavier Freixa,Rodrigo Estévez-Loureiro,Fernando Carrasco-Chinchilla,Dabit Arzamendi,Pilar Jiménez-Quevedo,Luis Nombela-Franco,Ignacio Cruz-González,Ignacio J. Amat-Santos,Manel Sabaté +8 more
TL;DR: A combination of both techniques appears to be feasible and safe, with favorable in-hospital outcomes, according to the results of the present study.
Journal ArticleDOI
