TL;DR: Lp(a) level ≥ 30 mg/dl was detected in every fifth adult aged 25–64 years, and an association with ischemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, and AH, but not with stroke and DM, was shown.

TL;DR: This work has shown that low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and, particularly,lipoprotein(a) (Lp[a]) have been implicated in the pathobiology of aortic valve stenosis and will help clarify the role of these proteins in the disease.
