Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of dual- and single-source dual-energy CT in head and neck imaging
Matthias May,Marco Wiesmueller,Rafael Heiss,Michael Brand,Joscha Bruegel,Michael Uder,Wolfgang Wuest +6 more
TL;DR: DS-Dect is superior to split-filter SS-DECT in terms of subjective image quality and vessel and tumor attenuation and highest overall image quality in head and neck imaging can be obtained with a combination of DI and low keV reconstructions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computed Tomography of the Head and Neck Region for Tumor Staging-Comparison of Dual-Source, Dual-Energy and Low-Kilovolt, Single-Energy Acquisitions.
Matthias May,Joscha Bruegel,Michael Brand,Marco Wiesmueller,Bernhard Krauss,Thomas Allmendinger,Michael Uder,Wolfgang Wuest +7 more
TL;DR: High overall image quality for tumor delineation in head and neck imaging were obtained with 40-keV VMI, but 70-kV SE examinations are an alternative and modified projections aligned to the jaw are recommended in case of severe artifacts caused by dental hardware.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of Readout-Segmented Echo-Planar Imaging and Single-Shot TSE DWI for Cholesteatoma Diagnostics.
Marco Wiesmueller,Wolfgang Wuest,Matthias May,Stephan Ellmann,Rafael Heiss,Marc Saake,Rolf Janka,Michael Uder,Frederik Bernd Laun +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the diagnostic value of readout-segmented echo-planar DWI and single-shot TSE DWI for cholesteatoma diagnostics is compared.
Journal ArticleDOI
Achieving high spatial and temporal resolution with perfusion MRI in the head and neck region using golden-angle radial sampling
Andrea Tomppert,Wolfgang Wuest,Marco Wiesmueller,Rafael Heiss,Markus Kopp,Armin M. Nagel,Armin M. Nagel,Hayato Tomita,Christian Meixner,Christian Meixner,Michael Uder,Matthias May +11 more
TL;DR: High temporal and spatial resolution can be obtained synchronously using a GRASP-VIBE technique for perfusion evaluation in head and neck MRI using a golden-angle radial sparse parallel (GRASP) sequence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictive Value of Multiparametric MRI for Response to Single-Cycle Induction Chemo-Immunotherapy in Locally Advanced Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
Konstantin Hellwig,Stephan Ellmann,Markus Eckstein,Marco Wiesmueller,Sandra Rutzner,Sabine Semrau,Benjamin Frey,Udo S. Gaipl,Antoniu Oreste Gostian,Arndt Hartmann,Heinrich Iro,Rainer Fietkau,Michael Uder,Markus Hecht,Tobias Bäuerle +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the predictive value of multiparametric MRI for treatment response evaluation of induction chemo-immunotherapy in locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma was evaluated.
