TL;DR: It is found that administration of adjuvant radiation therapy is associated with increased local disease-free survival for high-risk patients only and not low-risk or intermediate- risk patients, while margin status was not associated with LR or OS.

A comparison of clinically utilized human papillomavirus detection methods in head and neck cancer

TL;DR: Compared with a gold standard HPV-PCR assay, HPV detection by in situ hybridization was less accurate for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma on tissue microarrays than p16 immunohistochemistry and further testing is warranted before these assays should be recommended for clinical HPV detection.
