Journal ArticleDOI

Cross-Protection of Dengue Virus Infection against Congenital Zika Syndrome, Northeastern Brazil.

TL;DR: It is suggested that multitypic DENV infection may protect from, rather than enhance, development of CZS, and historical DENV genomic data refuted the hypothesis that unique genome signatures for northeastern Brazil explain the uneven dispersion of CzS cases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence for Congenital Zika Virus Infection From Neutralizing Antibody Titers in Maternal Sera, Northeastern Brazil.

TL;DR: ZIKV-specific neutralizing antibody titers were significantly higher in 28 mothers of children with microcephaly than in 122 controls from northeastern Brazil, suggesting an unusually strong immunological stimulus and potential utility of maternal antibody Titers to corroborate congenital ZIKV infection.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-Throughput Platform for Detection of Neutralizing Antibodies Using Flavivirus Reporter Replicon Particles

TL;DR: The established VRP-based NT assays are suitable for high-throughput analyses of neutralizing flavivirus antibodies, and the neutralization efficiencies of different human anti-flavivirus sera or a monoclonal antibody against all established VRPs are analyzed.
