Journal ArticleDOI
Normal and pathological gait: what we learn from Parkinson's disease
David Grabli,Carine Karachi,Marie-Laure Welter,Brian Lau,Etienne C. Hirsch,Etienne C. Hirsch,Etienne C. Hirsch,Marie Vidailhet,Chantal François,Chantal François,Chantal François +10 more
TL;DR: The brain networks involved in gait and balance control in animals and humans are highlighted with a particular focus on the relevant structures in the context of PD, such as the mesencephalic locomotor region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dopaminergic Function and Dopamine Transporter Binding Assessed With Positron Emission Tomography in Parkinson Disease
Maria-Joao Ribeiro,Marie Vidailhet,Christian Loc'h,Corinne Dupel,Jean-Paul Nguyen,Michel Ponchant,Frédéric Dollé,Marc Peschanski,Philippe Hantraye,Pierre Cesaro,Yves Samson,Philippe Remy +11 more
TL;DR: Uptake of (18)F-dopa may be up-regulated in early PD, suggesting a compensatory increase of dopamine synthesis in surviving dopaminergic terminals, and might be associated with the efficacy of neuroprotective treatments in PD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Withdrawing amantadine in dyskinetic patients with Parkinson disease The AMANDYSK trial
Fabienne Ory-Magne,Jean-Christophe Corvol,Jean-Philippe Azulay,Anne-Marie Bonnet,Christine Brefel-Courbon,Philippe Damier,Estelle Dellapina,Alain Destée,Franck Durif,Monique Galitzky,Thibaud Lebouvier,Wassilios G. Meissner,Claire Thalamas,François Tison,Alexandrine Salis,Agnès Sommet,François Viallet,Marie Vidailhet,Olivier Rascol +18 more
TL;DR: Wash-out of amantadine in dyskinetic patients with Parkinson disease and levodopa-induced dyskinesia significantly worsened LID, and exploratory outcomes suggested that amanadine might improve apathy and fatigue in such patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Longitudinal ocular motor study in corticobasal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy
Sophie Rivaud-Péchoux,Marie Vidailhet,G. Gallouedec,Irene Litvan,Bertrand Gaymard,Charles Pierrot-Deseilligny +5 more
TL;DR: Consecutive EOG recordings help diagnose atypical CBD and PSP disorders earlier and when clinical “telltale signs” appeared and the clinical diagnosis was reviewed independent of EOG recording, the three patients with atypicals CBD features were diagnosed as having PSP although new or overlapping syndromes cannot be excluded.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of pallidal stimulation in isolated dystonia: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Elena Moro,C. LeReun,Joachim K. Krauss,Alberto Albanese,Jean-Pierre Lin,S. Walleser Autiero,Thomas C. Brionne,Marie Vidailhet +7 more
TL;DR: Multivariate meta‐regression of absolute scores indicated that higher BFMDRS motor and disability scores before surgery, together with younger age at time of surgery, were the main factors associated with significantly better DBS outcomes at the latest follow‐up.
