The anatomical basis of dystonia : current view using neuroimaging
Stéphane Lehéricy,Stéphane Lehéricy,Marina A. J. Tijssen,Marie Vidailhet,Ryuji Kaji,Sabine Meunier +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider the knowledge that neuroimaging studies have provided to the understanding of the anatomy of dystonia and present the application of imaging as a tool to monitor therapy and its use as an outcome measure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Myoclonus-dystonia syndrome: epsilon-sarcoglycan mutations and phenotype.
Friedrich Asmus,Alexander Zimprich,Sophie Tezenas du Montcel,Christian Kabus,Günther Deuschl,Andreas Kupsch,Ulf Ziemann,Mirna Castro,Andrea A. Kühn,Tim M. Strom,Marie Vidailhet,Kailash P. Bhatia,Alexandra Durr,Nicholas W. Wood,Alexis Brice,Thomas Gasser +15 more
TL;DR: Clinical and genetic findings in nine additional European families with myoclonus‐dystonia syndrome are reported, finding that SGCE deficiency seems to be the common pathogenetic mechanism in myOClonus-dySTONia syndrome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deep brain stimulation for dystonia
TL;DR: A literature analysis on DBS for dystonia is performed and the main results and limits for each subgroup of patients that may help in the selection of dystonic patients who will benefit from DBS are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal target localization for subthalamic stimulation in patients with Parkinson disease.
Marie-Laure Welter,Michael Schüpbach,Virginie Czernecki,Carine Karachi,Sara Fernandez-Vidal,Jean-Louis Golmard,Giulia Serra,Soledad Navarro,Arlette Welaratne,Andreas Hartmann,Valérie Mesnage,Fanny Pineau,Philippe Cornu,Bernard Pidoux,Yulia Worbe,Panayiotis Zikos,David Grabli,Damien Galanaud,Anne-Marie Bonnet,Hayat Belaid,Didier Dormont,Marie Vidailhet,Luc Mallet,Jean-Luc Houeto,Eric Bardinet,Jérôme Yelnik,Yves Agid +26 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the STN is the best target to improve motor symptoms, postoperative cognitive deficit is mainly related to the surgery itself, and stimulation-induced hypomania is related to a combination of both the disease characteristics and a more ventral STN location.
Journal ArticleDOI
The coeruleus/subcoeruleus complex in idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder
Mickael Ehrminger,Mickael Ehrminger,Alice Latimier,Alice Latimier,Nadya Pyatigorskaya,Nadya Pyatigorskaya,Daniel García-Lorenzo,Daniel García-Lorenzo,Smaranda Leu-Semenescu,Marie Vidailhet,Marie Vidailhet,Stéphane Lehéricy,Stéphane Lehéricy,Isabelle Arnulf +13 more
TL;DR: Neuromelanin-sensitive imaging provides an early marker of non-dopaminergic alpha-synucleinopathy that can be detected on an individual basis in patients with idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behaviour.
