Journal ArticleDOI
Microwave-assisted Friedländer synthesis of quinolines derivatives as potential antiparasitic agents
TL;DR: A series of substituted quinolines was developed via the Friedlander reaction employing microwave irradiation (MW), in the presence of a catalytic amount of hydrochloric acid.
Journal ArticleDOI
New potent imidazoisoquinolinone derivatives as anti-Trypanosoma cruzi agents: biological evaluation and structure-activity relationships.
Mariela Bollini,Juan José Casal,Diego E. Alvarez,Lucía Boiani,Mercedes González,Hugo Cerecetto,Ana M. Bruno +6 more
TL;DR: A series of novel benzoIMidazo and N-aryl-5-oxo-imidazo[1,2-b]isoquinoline-10-carbothioamides was developed and showed higher activity than Nifurtimox, being non-toxic at concentrations at least 15 and 200 times higher than that of T. cruzi IC(50.)
Journal ArticleDOI
Microwave-assisted Döbner Synthesis of 2-Phenylquinoline-4-carboxylic Acids and their Antiparasitic Activities
TL;DR: A series of twelve substituted 2-phenylquinoline-4-carboxylic acids analogous to antimalarial and antileishmanial natural products was developed via the Dobner reaction employing microwave irradiation and evaluated in vitro against the parasites responsible for malaria, leishmaniasis and trypanosomiasis diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thalidomide analogues: Tumor necrosis factor-alpha inhibitors and their evaluation as anti-inflammatory agents.
TL;DR: On rat paw edema and hyperalgesia assays, compound 9, (1,4-phthalazinedione) demonstrated the highest in vivo anti-inflammatory activity and can be considered as a promising compound to be subjected to further modification to obtain new agents for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
