Journal ArticleDOI
Ce-doped YAG nanophosphor and red emitting CuInS2/ZnS core/shell quantum dots for warm white light-emitting diode with high color rendering index.
Abdelhay Aboulaich,Martyna Michalska,Raphaël Schneider,Audrey Potdevin,Jérôme Deschamps,R. Deloncle,Geneviève Chadeyron,Rachid Mahiou,Rachid Mahiou +8 more
TL;DR: Interestingly, CRI and CCT of such device tend to remain constant after 7 h of operating time suggesting that layer-by-layer structure of YAG:Ce phosphor and red-emitting CIS/ZnS QDs could be a good solution to achieve stable warm WLED, especially when high current density is applied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outer membrane vesicles catabolize lignin-derived aromatic compounds in Pseudomonas putida KT2440
Davinia Salvachúa,Davinia Salvachúa,Allison Z. Werner,Allison Z. Werner,Isabel Pardo,Martyna Michalska,Brenna A. Black,Bryon S. Donohoe,Stefan J. Haugen,Rui Katahira,Sandra Notonier,Sandra Notonier,Kelsey J. Ramirez,Antonella Amore,Samuel O. Purvine,Erika M. Zink,Paul E. Abraham,Richard J. Giannone,Suresh Poudel,Philip D. Laible,Robert L. Hettich,Gregg T. Beckham,Gregg T. Beckham +22 more
TL;DR: This work proposes a mechanism for extracellular nutrient acquisition from aromatic compounds by soil bacteria, which holds promise for improving the efficiency of microbial lignin conversion and suggests that OMVs could potentially be useful tools for synthetic biology and biotechnological applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tuning antimicrobial properties of biomimetic nanopatterned surfaces
Martyna Michalska,Francesca V. Gambacorta,Ralu Divan,Igor S. Aranson,Igor S. Aranson,Andrey Sokolov,Philippe Noirot,Philip D. Laible +7 more
TL;DR: Using a combination of microscopies, the mechanisms by which bacteria are killed are demonstrated, emphasizing the dependence upon pillar density and tip geometry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Peptide-functionalized ZCIS QDs as fluorescent nanoprobe for targeted HER2-positive breast cancer cells imaging.
Martyna Michalska,Anna Florczak,Hanna Dams-Kozlowska,Jacek Gapiński,Stefan Jurga,Raphaël Schneider +5 more
TL;DR: This study indicates that as engineered QDs can efficiently be used as fluorescent nanoprobes for selective labelling of HER2-positive SKBR3 cancer cells and demonstrates that both bare and the peptide-linked QDs exhibit low cytotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amine ligands control of the optical properties and the shape of thermally grown core/shell CuInS2/ZnS quantum dots
Martyna Michalska,Martyna Michalska,Abdelhay Aboulaich,Ghouti Medjahdi,Rachid Mahiou,Stefan Jurga,Raphaël Schneider +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a series of CuInZnxS2+x QDs has been successfully synthesized via a non-injection method by varying the amine (oleylamine, dioctylamine and dodecyamine) during the ZnS shell introduction on the CuInS2 core.
