Journal Article
Altered kinetics of an intravenous calcium load in hypertensive patients.
TL;DR: The data indicate an abnormal handling of a calcium load by patients with EH and raise the possibility that such abnormality may not be due simply to a renal defect but perhaps to an altered calcium distribution among different compartments in the body.
Journal ArticleDOI
The renal hemodynamic response to an oral protein load is normal in IgA nephropathy.
N. G. De Santo,Anastasio P,L Spitali,Massimo Cirillo,Domenico Santoro,Rosa Maria Pollastro,E. Cirillo,D. Capodicasa,Giovambattista Capasso +8 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that renal hemodynamic response to proteins in IgAN is normal and blood pressure and creatinine clearance were nearly identical in the two groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Estimation of metabolic syndrome heritability in three large populations including full pedigree and genomic information
Francesca Graziano,Francesca Graziano,Ginevra Biino,Maria Teresa Bonati,Benjamin M. Neale,Benjamin M. Neale,Ron Do,Maria Pina Concas,Simona Vaccargiu,Mario Pirastu,Oscar Terradura-Vagnarelli,Massimo Cirillo,Martino Laurenzi,Mario Mancini,Alberto Zanchetti,Mario Grassi +15 more
TL;DR: The principal aim of this study was to estimate the genetic component and the common environmental effects in different populations using full pedigree and genomic information and to better understand what happened when heritability of metabolic syndrome is estimated and account for different possible confounding.
