A novel, protective role of ursodeoxycholate in bile-induced pancreatic ductal injury

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of CDCA pretreatment on pancreatic ductal HCO3 secretion was investigated, and the results showed that CDCA significantly reduced the rate of ATP depletion, mitochondrial injury, and cell death induced by 1 mM CDCA and completely prevented the inhibitory effect on acid-base transporters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Evidence of Fluid Secretion of Rabbit Lacrimal Gland Duct Epithelium

TL;DR: Water permeability of rabbit LG duct epithelium was measured by calculating filtration permeability and direct experimental evidence of LG duct fluid secretion was demonstrated.

A novel, protective role of ursodeoxycholate in bile-induced

TL;DR: Results clearly demonstrate that UDCA suppresses the CDCA-induced pancreatic ductal injury by reducing apoptosis and mitochondrial damage and reduces the severity of CD CA-induced AP, which may represent a novel therapeutic target in the treatment of biliary AP.
