Nanostructured SnO2–ZnO Heterojunction Photocatalysts Showing Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity for the Degradation of Organic Dyes

TL;DR: The heterostructure SnO(2)-ZnO photocatalyst showed much higher photocatalytic activities for the degradation of methylene blue than those of individual Sno(2) and ZnO nanomaterials and could be easily recycled several times opening new avenues for potential industrial applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fifty Years of Research and Development Coming to Fruition; Unraveling the Complex Interactions during Processing of Transparent Magnesium Aluminate (MgAl2O4) Spinel

TL;DR: In this paper, the state-of-the-art in transparent polycrystalline spinel fabrication is presented, and the interaction between these key variables during processing is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polymer-Derived SiOC/ZrO2 Ceramic Nanocomposites with Excellent High-Temperature Stability

TL;DR: In this paper, a commercially available polymethylsilsesquioxane (MK Belsil PMS) was filled with nanocrystalline zirconia particles in the first approach.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controlled oxygen vacancy induced p-type conductivity in HfO2−x thin films

TL;DR: In this article, the authors synthesize highly oxygen deficient HfO2−x thin films by controlled oxygen engineering using reactive molecular beam epitaxy and suggest an oxygen vacancy induced p-type defect band as origin of the observed behavior.
