Control and operation of the MMC-based drive with reduced capacitor voltage fluctuations
Mauricio Antonio Espinoza Bolaños,Matias Diaz,Felipe Donoso,Arturo Letelier,Roberto Cardenas +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the MMC dc-port voltage is manipulated to regulate the amplitude of these fluctuations to a constant value during the whole frequency range, which has several advantages when compared with the conventional ones since it minimises the voltage fluctuation in the capacitor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
A low-eccentricity migration pathway for a 13-h-period Earth analogue in a four-planet system
L. M. Serrano,Davide Gandolfi,Alexander J. Mustill,Oscar Barragán,Judith Korth,Fei Dai,Seth Redfield,M. Fridlund,K. W. F. Lam,Matias Diaz,Sascha Grziwa,Karen A. Collins,John H. Livingston,William D. TL;DR: In this paper , the authors presented the discovery of a four planet system orbiting the bright K6 dwarf star TOI-500, which can be explained via a non-violent migration scenario.
Journal ArticleDOI
Continuous Set Model Predictive Control for Energy Management of Modular Multilevel Matrix Converters
TL;DR: In this article , a continuous control-set model predictive control for energy management of the M3C is proposed based on solving an equality constrained quadratic programming problem, where the optimal solution is analytically obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Search for Nearby Earth Analogs. III. Detection of ten new planets, three planet candidates, and confirmation of three planets around eleven nearby M dwarfs
Fabo Feng,Stephen A. Shectman,Matthew S. Clement,Steven S. Vogt,Mikko Tuomi,Johanna Teske,Jennifer Burt,Jeffrey D. Crane,Bradford P. Holden,Sharon X. Wang,Ian B. Thompson,Matias Diaz,R. Paul Butler +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the radial velocity data were analyzed and four signal detection criteria were applied to select the optimal candidates for finding Earth-sized planets in the habitable zones of M dwarfs.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A novel Capacitor Voltage Balancing strategy for Modular Multilevel Converters
TL;DR: A simple and innovative Capacitor Voltage Balancing strategy for Modular Multilevel Converters based on full H-bridge cell topologies is presented with an improved performance, especially under transient operating conditions.
