Journal ArticleDOI

Control and operation of the MMC-based drive with reduced capacitor voltage fluctuations

TL;DR: In this article, the MMC dc-port voltage is manipulated to regulate the amplitude of these fluctuations to a constant value during the whole frequency range, which has several advantages when compared with the conventional ones since it minimises the voltage fluctuation in the capacitor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Continuous Set Model Predictive Control for Energy Management of Modular Multilevel Matrix Converters

TL;DR: In this article , a continuous control-set model predictive control for energy management of the M3C is proposed based on solving an equality constrained quadratic programming problem, where the optimal solution is analytically obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for Nearby Earth Analogs. III. Detection of ten new planets, three planet candidates, and confirmation of three planets around eleven nearby M dwarfs

TL;DR: In this paper, the radial velocity data were analyzed and four signal detection criteria were applied to select the optimal candidates for finding Earth-sized planets in the habitable zones of M dwarfs.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A novel Capacitor Voltage Balancing strategy for Modular Multilevel Converters

TL;DR: A simple and innovative Capacitor Voltage Balancing strategy for Modular Multilevel Converters based on full H-bridge cell topologies is presented with an improved performance, especially under transient operating conditions.
