Journal ArticleDOI
The Impact of Fasting on the Interpretation of Triglyceride Levels for Predicting Myocardial Infarction Risk in HIV-Positive Individuals: The D:A:D Study
David Kamara,Signe Westring Worm,Peter Reiss,Martin Rickenbach,Andrew N. Phillips,Ole Kirk,Antonella d'Arminio Monforte,Mathias Bruyand,Matthew Law,Stéphane De Wit,Colette Smith,Christian Pradier,Jens D Lundgren,Caroline A. Sabin +13 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that it may not be necessary to restrict analyses to fasting measurements when considering MI risk, as each 2-fold increase in the latest triglyceride level was associated with a 38% increase in MI risk.
Researchof adenosine stress cardiovascular magnetic resonance in multi-vessel symptomatic coronary artery disease
Sharon Chih,Peter S. Macdonald,Michael P. Feneley,Matthew Law,Robert M. Graham,Jane McCrohon +5 more
TL;DR: The robust inter-study reproducibility of perfusion CMR supports its clinical and research application and by qualitative and semi-quantitative normalized upslope analyses are reproducible techniques in both patients with multi-vessel CAD and those without known CAD.
Posted ContentDOI
SiZer Map to investigate significant features of body-weight profile changes in HIV infected patients in the IeDEA Collaboration
Jaroslaw Harezlak,Samiha Sarwat,Kara Wools-Kaloustian,Michael Schomaker,Eric Balestre,Matthew Law,Sasisopin Kiertiburanakul,Matthew P. Fox,Diana Huis in ‘t Veld,Beverly S. Musick,Constantin T. Yiannoutsos +10 more
TL;DR: A penalized spline SiZer (PS-SiZer) is proposed which can be expressed as a linear mixed model of the longitudinal biomarker process to account for irregularly collected data and within-subject correlations and is sensitive in detecting even subtle features in biomarker curves.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of central and local HIV-1 RNA quantification from two international clinical trials.
Janaki Amin,Matthew Law,Rebekah Puls,Anthony D. Kelleher,Anthony D. Kelleher,David A. Cooper,Sean Emery +6 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that central testing of pVL in HIV therapeutic trials is not warranted and local and centrally measured plasma HIV RNA was assessed for agreement in two trials.
