Journal ArticleDOI
Intravitreal bevacizumab for treatment of refractory central serous choroidoretinopathy.
TL;DR: Intravitreal bevacizumab injection may have beneficial effect in the treatment of refractory CSC and best corrected visual acuity and central macular thickness were compared before and after treatment by optical coherence tomography.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Smoking on Breast Cancer by Adjusting for Smoking Misclassification Bias and Confounders Using a Probabilistic Bias Analysis Method
Reza Pakzad,Saharnaz Nedjat,Mehdi Yaseri,Hamid Salehiniya,Nasrin Mansournia,Maryam Nazemipour,Mohammad Ali Mansournia +6 more
TL;DR: After misclassification correction for smoking, the non-significant negative-adjusted association between smoking and breast cancer changed to a significant positive- adjusted association.
Journal ArticleDOI
Higher dietary acid load is not associated with risk of breast cancer in Iranian women.
TL;DR: Dietary acid load may play a key role in certain cancers, including breast cancer, but evidence showing a causal relationship is lacking.
Journal ArticleDOI
Factors associated with lamina cribrosa displacement after trabeculectomy measured by optical coherence tomography in advanced primary open-angle glaucoma.
Hamed Esfandiari,Ali Efatizadeh,Kiana Hassanpour,Azadeh Doozandeh,Mehdi Yaseri,Nils A. Loewen +5 more
TL;DR: A larger IOP reduction and younger age was correlated with a larger negative LC displacement and improving HVF, and corneal biomechanics did not predict LC displacement.
Journal ArticleDOI
The analysis and probabilistic health risk assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in cereal products
Fariba Khalili,Nabi Shariatifar,Mohammad Hadi Dehghani,Kamyar Yaghmaeian,Ramin Nabizadeh Nodehi,Mehdi Yaseri,Majid Arabameri +6 more
TL;DR: The PAHs content in the tested products were in low health risk ranges, and all of the cereal products sold in Tehran are considered safe for consumers, therefore, cereal products should be regularly evaluated and monitored by regulatory agencies to reduce contaminants in these high-consumption products.
