The predictive role of circulating telomerase and vitamin D for long-term survival in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (CABG)
Mahtab Zarei,Mahdi Najafi,Mahdi Najafi,Elnaz Movahedi,M H Javanbakht,Yun-Hee Choi,Mehdi Yaseri,Arash Shirvani,Frank W. Sellke,Saverio Stranges +9 more
TL;DR: Telomerase can be regarded as a potential predictor of long-term outcomes in patients who underwent CABG, however, the association of telomerase with the mortality may be modified by vitamin D concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of combined complement factor H Y402H and ARMS2/LOC387715 A69S polymorphisms with age-related macular degeneration: an updated meta-analysis.
TL;DR: This updated analysis showed a strong synergistic and positive multiplicative effect of these two genes indicating that there is common pathway of ARMS2/LOC387715 A69 S and CFH Y402 H in AMD pathogenesis which may be complement system pathway.
