Methods for preparation and activation of activated carbon: a review
Zoha Heidarinejad,Mohammad Hadi Dehghani,Mohsen Heidari,Gholamali Javedan,Imran Ali,Mika Sillanpää +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the impregnation method with the physical mixing method used in activating with alkali hydroxides and found that the activated carbon obtained through physical mixing had a higher porosity than the activated activated carbon produced by the impravnation method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of chromium(VI) from aqueous solution using treated waste newspaper as a low-cost adsorbent: Kinetic modeling and isotherm studies
TL;DR: In this paper, treated waste newspaper (TWNP) was used to remove chromium(VI) from aqueous solution using batch experiments and the results indicated that TWNP may be used as a low-cost adsorbent for the removal of chromium (VI).
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel algorithm for global optimization: Rat Swarm Optimizer
TL;DR: The experimental results reveal that the proposed RSO algorithm is highly effective in solving real world optimization problems as compared to other well-known optimization algorithms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of noxious Cr (VI) ions using single-walled carbon nanotubes and multi-walled carbon nanotubes
Mohammad Hadi Dehghani,Mahdieh Mohammad Taher,Anil Kumar Bajpai,Behzad Heibati,Behzad Heibati,Inderjeet Tyagi,Mohammad Asif,Shilpi Agarwal,Vinod Kumar Gupta,Vinod Kumar Gupta,Vinod Kumar Gupta +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption capacity of two efficient adsorbents namely MWCNTs and SWCNTs for the rapid removal of noxious Cr (VI) ion from the polluted aqueous source was well studied and optimized.
Journal ArticleDOI
What do we know about exposure of Iranians to cadmium? Findings from a systematic review
Mahboobeh Ghoochani,Noushin Rastkari,Masud Yunesian,Ramin Nabizadeh Nodehi,Alireza Mesdaghinia,Anahita Houshiarrad,Mansour Shamsipour,Mohammad Hadi Dehghani +7 more
TL;DR: It was showed that cadmium amount in 75% of the consumed rice samples (domestic and imported) was higher than the maximum limits approved by institute of standards and industrial research of Iran.
