Hui Chen,Olja Simoska,Koun Lim,Matteo Grattieri,Mengwei Yuan,Fangyuan Dong,Yoo Seok Lee,Kevin Beaver,Samali Weliwatte,Erin M. Gaffney,Shelley D. Minteer +10 more
TL;DR: This review seeks to systematically and comprehensively detail the fundamentals, analyze the existing problems, summarize the development status and applications, and look toward the future development directions of bioelectrocatalysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid Simultaneous Removal of Toxic Anions [HSeO3]−, [SeO3]2–, and [SeO4]2–, and Metals Hg2+, Cu2+, and Cd2+ by MoS42– Intercalated Layered Double Hydroxide
Lijiao Ma,Saiful Islam,Chengliang Xiao,Jing Zhao,Hongyun Liu,Mengwei Yuan,Genban Sun,Huifeng Li,Shulan Ma,Shulan Ma,Mercouri G. Kanatzidis +10 more
TL;DR: The intercalated material of MoS4-LDH is very promising as a highly effective filter for decontamination of water with toxic Se(IV)/Se(VI) oxoanions along with heavy metals such as Hg2+, Cd2+, and Cu2+.
Journal ArticleDOI
In Situ Preparation of Cobalt Nanoparticles Decorated in N-Doped Carbon Nanofibers as Excellent Electromagnetic Wave Absorbers
Huihui Liu,Yajing Li,Mengwei Yuan,Genban Sun,Genban Sun,Huifeng Li,Shulan Ma,Qingliang Liao,Yue Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: The solid cobalt nanoparticles decorated in N-doped carbon nanofibers with solid and macroporous structures exhibit excellent electromagnetic wave absorbability, and the effective microwave absorption can be achieved in the whole range of 1-18 GHz by adjusting the thickness of the sample layer and content of the dopant sample.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modified biochar for phosphate adsorption in environmentally relevant conditions
Yimin Huang,Yimin Huang,Xinqing Lee,Matteo Grattieri,Mengwei Yuan,Rong Cai,Florika C. Macazo,Shelley D. Minteer +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the modification of wheat straw biochar with chitosan, quaternary ammonium salt, and lanthanum for enhanced phosphate removal in environmentally relevant conditions.
