High electrical power density from PbTe-based quantum-dot superlattice unicouple thermoelectric devices

TL;DR: In this paper, the first demonstration of PbTe-based, crossplane quantum-dot superlattice (QDSL) unicouple thermoelectric generator devices fabricated from nanostructured, thick-film materials (∼100μm).
Journal ArticleDOI

Scalable fabrication of coupled NV center - photonic crystal cavity systems by self-aligned N ion implantation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate spatially targeted implantation of nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers into the mode maximum of 2-d diamond photonic crystal cavities with quality factors up to 8000, achieving an average of 1.1 ± 0.2 NVs per cavity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photophysics of GaN single-photon emitters in the visible spectral range

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed photophysical analysis of recently discovered, optically stable single-photon emitters (SPEs) in gallium nitride (GaN) was presented, which revealed that the emission lines at 4 K are three orders of magnitude broader than the transform-limited width expected from excited state lifetime measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

In-plane anisotropy in arrays of magnetic ellipses

TL;DR: In this article, large area samples of submicron arrays of elliptical thin Co dots were fabricated using interference lithography and ion milling and the magnetic properties were investigated by MFM and hysteresis loops were measured at different temperatures.
