Mechanical properties of natural hydraulic lime-based mortars
TL;DR: One hundred eighty different mortars made with a natural hydraulic lime (NHL) and different kinds of aggregates were prepared to be used in restoration works and the factors affecting the mechanical behavior have been studied at long-term test.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fractal geometry and mercury porosimetry: Comparison and application of proposed models on building stones
TL;DR: In this paper, different fractal models of porous solid are described and compared, and fractal dimension values calculated from the different models are consistent between them, which can be used as stone pore system descriptor and, in addition, allow the differentiation between weathered and unweathered stones.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanical properties of masonry repair dolomitic lime-based mortars
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of technological variables on pore structure and mechanical properties of magnesian lime-based mortars has been investigated and a strong increase in the strength of mortars was found after 365 curing days as compared to 28 curing days.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of paracetamol in dosage forms by non-suppressed ion chromatography.
TL;DR: An ion-chromatography procedure for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and salicylic acid without suppression using UV detection is proposed and permits the quantitation of the total acetylsalicylic Acid as salicyric acid.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trace-metal distribution of cigarette ashes as marker of tobacco brands.
Juan Luis Pérez-Bernal,José Manuel Amigo,Rut Fernández-Torres,Miguel Angel Bello,Manuel Callejón-Mochón +4 more
TL;DR: A methodology to assess the viability of discriminating between different tobacco brands by analysing the ashes after smoking and the possibility of developing classification models to be able to discriminate between different brands was presented.
