Options for and Challenges of Employing Digital Twins in Construction Management
Tareq J. Salem,Mihai Dragomir +1 more
TL;DR: The authors propose a framework for analyzing and supervising the development of digital twins that uses three main stages: the commonly encountered Building Information Modeling (BIM); the existing monitoring and actuation digital twins; and an envisioned third stage that makes use of artificial intelligence, complex visualization instruments and advanced controls with the capability to exact change within a construction project on the building site.
Journal ArticleDOI
Training in coordinate measurement using 3D virtual instruments
TL;DR: The features and advantages offered by Delmia V5 for simulating a complete measuring environment encompassing: the CMM, the human operator, a robot or automated system for manipulating the parts are presented.
Geometrical Product Specification and Verification as toolbox to meet up-to-date technical requirements
Wojciech Płowucha,Władysław Jakubiec,Zbigniew Humienny,Tino Hausotte,Enrico Savio,Mihai Dragomir,Paul J. Bills,Michael Marxer,Norbert Wisla,Luc Mathieu +9 more
TL;DR: There is no coherent EU-wide provision for vocational training (VET) in this area and Consortium, members of which are the authors of this paper, is preparing a proposal of an EU project aiming to develop appropriate course.
Journal ArticleDOI
Seeing the Immaterial: A New Instrument for Evaluating Integrated Management Systems’ Maturity
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a new instrument designed to evaluate and communicate the maturity achieved by an integrated management system (IMS) for responding properly to the requirements of its reference standards in a consolidated manner.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Integrating the concept of reverse engineering in medical applications
TL;DR: The steps required for developing reverse engineering applications in the medical field are presented alongside case studies conducted by the authors, focused on showcasing various applications as well as other possible developments in the field of health and medicine regarding in vitro applications.
