Journal ArticleDOI
N-octyl-beta-valienamine up-regulates activity of F213I mutant beta-glucosidase in cultured cells: a potential chemical chaperone therapy for Gaucher disease.
Hou Lin,Yuko Sugimoto,Yuki Ohsaki,Haruaki Ninomiya,Akira Oka,Miyako Taniguchi,Hiroyuki Ida,Yoshikatsu Eto,Seiichiro Ogawa,Yuji Matsuzaki,Miwa Sawa,Takehiko Inoue,Katsumi Higaki,Eiji Nanba,Kousaku Ohno,Yoshiyuki Suzuki +15 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that NOV works as a chemical chaperone to accelerate transport and maturation of F213I mutant β-Glu and may suggest a therapeutic value of this compound for GD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enzyme enhancement activity of N-octyl -β -valienamine on β-glucosidase mutants associated with Gaucher disease
Ke Lei,Haruaki Ninomiya,Michitaka Suzuki,Takehiko Inoue,Miwa Sawa,Masami Iida,Hiroyuki Ida,Yoshikatsu Eto,Seiichiro Ogawa,Kousaku Ohno,Yoshiyuki Suzuki +10 more
TL;DR: A potential therapeutic value of NOV and related compounds for GD with a broad range of β-Glu mutations is suggested, and profiling of N -alkyl-β-valienamines with various lengths of the acyl chain showed that N -dodecyl- β-Valienamine was as effective as NOV.

Acid addition salt of carbasugar amine derivative
TL;DR: An acid addition salt of a carbasugar amine derivative represented by the following general formula (1): wherein R1 and R2 each independently represents hydrogen or an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, acyl, aryl, or aralkyl group optionally having one or more substituents represented by as mentioned in this paper.
