Ruthenium hydroxide on magnetite as a magnetically separable heterogeneous catalyst for liquid-phase oxidation and reduction

TL;DR: In this paper, a ruthenium hydroxide catalyst on magnetite (Ru(OH)x/Fe3O4) was used to promote three kinds of reactions, including aerobic oxidation of alcohols, amine reduction, and reduction of carbonyl compounds to alcohols using 2-propanol as a hydrogen donor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient Oxidative Alkyne Homocoupling Catalyzed by a Monomeric Dicopper‐Substituted Silicotungstate

TL;DR: It is reported that the dicopper-substituted g-Keggin silicotungstate TBA4[g-H2SiW10O36Cu2(m-1,1-N3)2] (I, Figure 1; TBA = tetra-n-butylammonium) is an effective alkyne homocoupling reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Olefin Epoxidation with Hydrogen Peroxide Catalyzed by Lacunary Polyoxometalate [γ‐SiW10O34(H2O)2]4−

TL;DR: The tetra-n-butylammonium (TBA) salt of the divacant Keggin-type polyoxometalate [TBA](4)[gamma-SiW(10)O(34)(H(2)O)(2)] catalyzes the oxygen-transfer reactions of olefins, allylic alcohols, and sulfides with 30 % aqueous hydrogen peroxide as mentioned in this paper.
