Journal ArticleDOI

DNA methylation dynamics during early plant life

TL;DR: The findings indicate the absence of extensive resetting of DNA methylation patterns during early plant life and point instead to an important role of RdDM in reinforcingDNA methylation of transposable element sequences in every cell of the mature embryo.
Journal ArticleDOI

MitoRS, a method for high throughput, sensitive, and accurate detection of mitochondrial DNA heteroplasmy

TL;DR: A novel method, named MitoRS, in which the entire mitochondrial genome is amplified in a single reaction using rolling circle amplification, which is easier to setup and of higher throughput when compared to classical PCR amplification.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fully Closed Genome Sequences of Five Type Strains of the Genus Cronobacter and One Cronobacter sakazakii Strain

TL;DR: Six genomes of Cronobacter that are associated with infant infections and the consumption of reconstituted infant formula are sequenced and closed to use as reference genomes in single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) based next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis for source tracking investigations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ecological and genomic vulnerability to climate change across native populations of Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora)

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compared the ecological and genomic vulnerabilities of coffeea canephora in the lowland rainforests of tropical Africa and found that the genomic vulnerability was higher for populations in West Africa and in the region at the border between DRC and Uganda.
