Triptycene-based polymers of intrinsic microporosity: organic materials that can be tailored for gas adsorption
Bader S. Ghanem,Bader S. Ghanem,Mohammed Hashem,Kenneth D. M. Harris,Kadhum J. Msayib,Mingcan Xu,Peter M. Budd,Nhamo Chaukura,David Book,Steven Tedds,Allan Walton,Neil B. McKeown +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the synthesis and properties of network polymers of intrinsic microporosity derived from triptycene monomers that possess alkyl groups attached to their bridgehead positions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancing the rigidity of a network polymer of intrinsic microporosity by the combined use of phthalocyanine and triptycene components
TL;DR: By combining both triptycene and multifunctional phthalocyanine components within a polymer of intrinsic microporosity (PIM), a polymer network of apparent BET surface of 806 m2 g−1 was obtained that appears to possess a highly rigid structure as determined from the shape of its nitrogen adsorption isotherm as discussed by the authors.
