Neutralizing activity of Sputnik V vaccine sera against SARS-CoV-2 variants
Satoshi Ikegame,Mohammed N. A. Siddiquey,Chuan-Tien Hung,Griffin Haas,Luca Brambilla,Kasopefoluwa Y. Oguntuyo,Shreyas Kowdle,Hsin-Ping Chiu,Christian S. Stevens,Ariel Esteban Vilardo,Alexis Edelstein,Claudia Perandones,Jeremy P. Kamil,Benhur Lee +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors characterize the neutralizing activity of post-Sputnik V vaccination sera against the ensemble of S mutations present in alpha (B.1.7) and beta (B1.351) VOCs, showing the latter to exhibit resistance to neutralization in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantifying Absolute Neutralization Titers against SARS-CoV-2 by a Standardized Virus Neutralization Assay Allows for Cross-Cohort Comparisons of COVID-19 Sera.
Kasopefoluwa Y. Oguntuyo,Christian S. Stevens,Chuan Tien Hung,Satoshi Ikegame,Joshua A. Acklin,Shreyas Kowdle,Jillian C. Carmichael,Hsin-Ping Chiu,Kristopher D. Azarm,Griffin Haas,Fatima Amanat,Jéromine Klingler,Jéromine Klingler,Ian Baine,Suzanne Arinsburg,Juan C. Bandres,Juan C. Bandres,Mohammed N. A. Siddiquey,Robert M Schilke,Matthew D. Woolard,Hongbo Zhang,Andrew J. Duty,Thomas Kraus,Thomas M. Moran,Domenico Tortorella,Jean K. Lim,Andrea V. Gamarnik,Catarina E. Hioe,Catarina E. Hioe,Susan Zolla-Pazner,Stanimir S. Ivanov,Jeremy P. Kamil,Florian Krammer,Benhur Lee +33 more
TL;DR: The CoV2pp-VNA as mentioned in this paper is based on vesicular stomatitis virus bearing the Renilla luciferase gene in place of its G glycoprotein (VSVΔG), which can be robustly produced at scale and generate accurate neutralizing titers within 18 h postinfection.
Journal ArticleDOI
mTOR inhibitors induce cell-cycle arrest and inhibit tumor growth in Epstein-Barr virus-associated T and natural killer cell lymphoma cells.
Jun-ichi Kawada,Yoshinori Ito,Seiko Iwata,Michio Suzuki,Yoshihiko Kawano,Tetsuhiro Kanazawa,Mohammed N. A. Siddiquey,Hiroshi Kimura +7 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that inhibition of mTOR signaling is a promising new strategy for improving treatment of EBV-associated T- and NK-cell lymphoma.
Posted ContentDOI
In plain sight: the role of alpha-1-antitrypsin in COVID-19 pathogenesis and therapeutics.
Kasopefoluwa Y. Oguntuyo,Christian S. Stevens,Mohammed N. A. Siddiquey,Robert M. Schilke,Matthew D. Woolard,Hongbo Zhang,Joshua A. Acklin,Satoshi Ikegame,Chuan Tien Huang,Jean K. Lim,Robert W. Cross,Thomas W. Geisbert,Stanimir S. Ivanov,Jeremy P. Kamil,Benhur Lee +14 more
TL;DR: It is argued that the anti-inflammatory and coagulation regulatory activity of AAT have implications for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pathogenicity, SARS-CoV-2 tissue restriction, convalescent plasma therapies, and even potentially AAT therapy.

TL;DR: A standardized VNA using VSVdeltaG based CoV-2-S pseudotyped particles (CoV2pp) that can be robustly produced at scale and showed a strong positive correlation with CoV1-S ELISA and live virus neutralizations in a validated set of patient sera is developed.
