Metal Thiophosphates with Good Mid-infrared Nonlinear Optical Performances: A First-Principles Prediction and Analysis
TL;DR: Several metal thiophosphate compounds are highlighted to exhibit good mid-IR NLO performances, as supported by the primary experimental results, which would greatly promote the development of the mid- IR NLO functional materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trigonal Planar [HgSe3]4– Unit: A New Kind of Basic Functional Group in IR Nonlinear Optical Materials with Large Susceptibility and Physicochemical Stability
Chao Li,Wenlong Yin,Wenlong Yin,Pifu Gong,Xiaoshuang Li,Molin Zhou,Arthur Mar,Zheshuai Lin,Jiyong Yao,Yicheng Wu,Chuangtian Chen +10 more
TL;DR: A new mercury selenide BaHgSe2 was synthesized, which displays a large nonlinear optical (NLO) response and melts congruently.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hg-Based Infrared Nonlinear Optical Material KHg4Ga5Se12 Exhibits Good Phase-Matchability and Exceptional Second Harmonic Generation Response
TL;DR: In this paper, a Hg-based IR nonlinear optical (NLO) material with desirable properties has been newly discovered, where distorted HgSe4 and GaSe4 tetrahedra are connected to each other by vertex-sharing to form a three-dimensional framework with the counterion K+ residing in the cavities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Midinfrared Nonlinear Optical Thiophosphates from LiZnPS4 to AgZnPS4: A Combined Experimental and Theoretical Study.
TL;DR: The combination of experimental and theoretical study demonstrates that AgZnPS4 exhibits a much stronger NLO effect than that of LiZn PS4 despite the relatively smaller energy band gap, and allows it to possess much better overall performance for the practical mid-IR NLO applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Zn3P2S8: A Promising Infrared Nonlinear-Optical Material with Excellent Overall Properties
Zhuang Li,Xingxing Jiang,Molin Zhou,Yangwu Guo,Luo Xiaoyu,Yicheng Wu,Yicheng Wu,Zheshuai Lin,Jiyong Yao +8 more
TL;DR: The differential scanning calorimetry curve indicates a congruent-melting thermal behavior of Zn3P2S8, which is conducive to large single-crystal growth, which makes it a practically usable IR nonlinear-optical candidate.
