Influence of combustion parameters on NOx production in an industrial boiler

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of NO x pollution using a model boiler of an industrial boiler utilizing fuel gas was investigated using conservation equations of mass, momentum and energy, and equations representing the transport of species concentrations, turbulence, combustion and radiation modeling in addition to NO modeling equations were solved together to present temperature and NO distribution inside the radiation and convection sections of the boiler.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of epidural dexmedetomidine on intraoperative awareness and post-operative pain after one-lung ventilation.

TL;DR: The effects of a dexmedetomidine–bupivacaine mixture with plain bupvacaine for thoracic epidural anaesthesia on intraoperative awareness and analgesic benefits, when combined with superficial isoflurane anaesthesia (<0.05 maximum alveolar concentration), are compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Artificial neural network application for multiphase flow patterns detection: A new approach

TL;DR: An ANN model built using three dimensionless parameters only, namely, Liquid Reynolds Number, Gas Reynolds Number and Pressure Drop Multiplier achieved more than 97% accuracy in classifying the flow patterns for wide range of flow conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

RBF neural network inferential sensor for process emission monitoring

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a neural network structure for high performance prediction of NOx as well as O2 using a model of furnace of an industrial boiler, which is a 3D problem that involves turbulence, combustion, radiation in addition to NOx modeling.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Power Line Communications: An Overview - Part I

TL;DR: This part focuses on the PLC applications and the technical issues regarding it and the layers and methods that are needed to make it work.
