TLDR
In this article, the problem of NO x pollution using a model boiler of an industrial boiler utilizing fuel gas was investigated using conservation equations of mass, momentum and energy, and equations representing the transport of species concentrations, turbulence, combustion and radiation modeling in addition to NO modeling equations were solved together to present temperature and NO distribution inside the radiation and convection sections of the boiler.About:

Impact of air staging along furnace height on NOx emissions from pulverized coal combustion
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the impact of air-staged combustion technology on the NO x emission characteristics of bituminous coal combustion in an electrically heated multi-path air inlet one-dimensional furnace, and found that the more deeply the air is staged, the further the NOx emission is reduced.

Experimental and numerical investigations of an atmospheric diffusion oxy-combustion flame in a gas turbine model combustor
TL;DR: In this article, an atmospheric diffusion oxy-combustion flame in a gas turbine model combustor has been investigated experimentally and numerically, where a modified two-step reaction kinetics model for methane-oxygen combustion has been used in order to predict accurately the oxycombustions characteristics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Air-Staging on Anthracite Combustion and NOx Formation
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of coal fineness and burnout air position on NOx emission under both deep and shallow air-staged combustion conditions. But they found that coal char is responsible for the discharge of fuel-nitrogen that is oxidized to NOx.
